Whitby Winterfest opens this Friday evening with a parade from Pannett Park to the Pavilion on Whitby’s West Cliff. Winterfest runs all weekend, from 10am to 10pm on Saturday and Sunday, and it demonstrates the Power of Community at Christmas. It is organised by We Are Whitby.
An opening performance by local lad Alistair Griffin, of TV fame, follows the arrival of the parade. There will be an ice rink on the top car park, with food, drink and entertainment. Downstairs in the Northern Lights Suite will be market stalls, fashion shows, demonstrations and entertainment. In the Ocean Room will be the Winter Wonderland, with Santa’s Hut, storytelling and a toy workshop. The Community and Charity Stands will be in the Café, with more food and drink.
So come along, have a look at our Fight4Whitby stand, have a chat with our volunteers and take part in our light-hearted Competition. You could win a super prize!
